We are men and women who have served or are serving in the United States Armed Forces. Some of us are veterans of wars and others participated in this country's peace keeping military efforts or are currently serving on active duty. Also others are spouses of those who served. We are all proud to be a part of America's destiny and safe keeping. We made ourselves available to serve anywhere our country deemed necessary. We did not flinch at or dodge the call to serve but realized that our precious Freedom is not Free. We have and are making our personal contribution to America's security and democracy.
The Patch makes the message clear for all to see. Our intent is to help continue to promote American military veteran awareness and the price that was paid for our freedom. The over whelming majority of Americans have never served in the military much less in combat. The rights and benefits of veterans are slowly being eroded by disingenuous policy makers who have never served. The wearing of this patch is just another way we veteran supporters can promote the continued appreciation of the price of freedom.
We are not trying to start a structured "club" but rather an unstructured "group" of people who ride Bicycles (BCs) and Motorcycles (MCs) and want to show their support for the veterans of America. Incidentally the military makes up only 6 percent of the total population. So veterans awareness and advertising the price of freedom makes sense. If we don't who will and the preservation of our benefits depends on it.
